Job description

Job Purpose

Deliver technical instruction and evaluations for the Operations personnel and key management staff at Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP), including Initial, Requalification, or Management Certification training and evaluations. Administer Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulations (FANR) exams. Follow best practices established by program leaders to ensure adherence to the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process.

Key Activities, Responsibilities & Accountability

1. Training Development and Administration
2. Deliver training and evaluation material effectively, meeting World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) and FANR standards to ensure operators receive the required training in the classroom.
3. Analyze, design, develop, deliver, and assist in implementing and evaluating various operator training programs (Certified and Non-Certified) to meet procedural requirements and ensure mastery of objectives, maintaining adherence to the SAT process.
4. Administer written exams, simulator, and job performance evaluations to prevent exam compromises.
5. Provide training to Nawah personnel on operational procedures, eSOMS training, and nuclear technologies to establish baseline knowledge among management at BNPP.
6. Corrective Action Program (CAP)
7. Ensure all assigned actions are completed timely, monitoring for overdue tasks.
8. Review CAP to ensure adverse conditions to quality are documented and improvement processes are engaged.

The incumbent is expected to perform standard activities as per attachments 4 & 5 in the Job Description procedure, relating to Health, Safety and Environment, Security, Business Continuity, People Management, Excellence, and Quality Management Responsibilities & Accountabilities.

Professional Certifications

• Minimum:
• Certified as a qualified instructor for the material being presented.
• Instructors of FANR Certified Senior Reactor Operators or Certified Reactor Operators shall hold, or have held, a Senior Reactor Operator Certification at a Nuclear Power Plant.
• Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) Instructor Certificate.

Qualifications

• Minimum:
• High School Certification.
• 3 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 months in a Nuclear Power Plant.
• Demonstrated knowledge of instructional techniques through training or experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a scientific discipline.
• 5 years relevant work experience, including at least 3 years within Nuclear Operations Training.
