Job Overview

The Operations Team Leader – Fleet & Receivables is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the performance of both the Fleet and Receivable Teams to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, high customer satisfaction, and optimized financial performance. This role provides leadership, direction, and support to ensure smooth functioning of end-to-end fleet operations, receivable management, and customer-facing processes, with the ultimate goal of minimizing risk, improving turnaround times, and maintaining service quality across both domains.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet Oversight

  • Ensure on-time readiness and operational availability of newly inducted vehicles for the rental business.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance for vehicle registration, SALIK, DARB, GPS installation, and SIRA certifications.
  • Monitor vehicle workshop schedules, preventive maintenance, repairs, and service quality assurance.
  • Supervise accurate record-keeping of vehicle keys, fleet inventory, and reconciliation processes.
  • Ensure smooth de-fleeting processes for total loss or retired vehicles, including coordination with insurance and banks.
  • Generate and review fleet performance reports (vehicle aging, idle fleet, turnaround times) and recommend improvement measures.
  • Maintain strict compliance with RTA, Abu Dhabi Police, and other government requirements.

Receivables Oversight

  • Ensure timely customer invoicing, accurate billing, and zero outstanding balances on closed agreements.
  • Supervise receivables team in collection of overdue payments, force collections, and immobilization/legal action where required.
  • Oversee timely upload of TARS data, customer receipts, agreements, and supporting documents in SPEED and shared systems.
  • Monitor accurate processing of rental charges, SALIK, DARB, fines, and customer deposits/refunds.
  • Drive timely follow-up on customer extensions, replacements, collections, and complaint resolution.
  • Escalation and resolution of disputes, credit notes, and reconciliations to improve cash flow and customer satisfaction.
  • Track and report aging analysis, outstanding receivables, and financial risks.

Cross-Functional & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary link between fleet operations and receivable functions, ensuring alignment and cross-team collaboration.
  • Monitor KPIs for both teams and provide corrective actions to meet service-level and financial targets.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to the Fleet TL and Receivable TL, ensuring professional growth and accountability.
  • Prepare consolidated operational reports for management, covering both fleet utilization and receivables performance.
  • Ensure zero to minimal customer complaints through proactive monitoring, issue resolution, and service improvements.
  • Continuously identify process inefficiencies and propose automation, system enhancements, or policy improvements.

  • Proficient in ERP/fleet management platforms (SPEED, TARS, CARDOO, YANGO) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets reporting.
