Operations Supervisor DXB5

DESCRIPTION
To help us maintain our high standards of service, we are seeking an experienced and accomplished Logistics Supervisor to drive both innovation in our busy Transportation network.

Your responsibilities:

1. Support the overall daily management of operational duties, deputizing for the Operations Manager as required.
2. Prioritize and continually improve safety at the delivery station.
3. Supervise logistics assistants, coordinators, and delivery associates to ensure that every shipment meets and exceeds the set operational KPIs.
4. Monitor coordinator and associate performance, coaching them when needed, and partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations.
5. Communicate with our delivery service providers to set expectations and enhance quality on their deliverables.
6. Interview candidates for associate roles.
7. Brief and monitor the workload of all drivers and associates, ensuring all administrative tasks are accurately completed.
8. Measure and monitor overall workflows and daily metrics to assist the Operations Manager with tracking trends and reporting on site performance regularly.
9. Help with training and mentoring new Associates, providing them with the knowledge needed for their tasks.
10. Follow up on and resolve any process-related issues as required.
11. Perform physical activities such as pushing carts with up to 100 pounds of weight and lifting packages with up to 15 kg of weight.
12. Be flexible to work in different shifts and perform overtime when needed.
13. Resource your function from a personal standpoint, including callouts for training needs, absence management, and productivity monitoring.

• Experience in logistics

• Experience with planning performance metrics and process improvement

1. Make Shifts Plan (Receive/Dock/Stow)
2. Manage Associates and work on achieving Productivity & Quality
3. Implement Kaizens
4. Work on making mechanisms for a good overall flow.

• 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
• High school or equivalent
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
• Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Work 40 hours/week and overtime as required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
