DESCRIPTION
To help us maintain our high standards of service, we are seeking an experienced and accomplished Logistics Supervisor to drive both innovation in our busy Transportation network.
Your responsibilities:
- Support the overall daily management of operational duties, deputizing for the Operations Manager as required.
- Prioritize and continually improve safety at the delivery station.
- Supervise logistics assistants, coordinators, and delivery associates to ensure that every shipment meets and exceeds the set operational KPIs.
- Monitor coordinator and associate performance, coaching them when needed, and partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations.
- Communicate with our delivery service providers to set expectations and enhance quality on their deliverables.
- Interview candidates for associate roles.
- Brief and monitor the workload of all drivers and associates, ensuring all administrative tasks are accurately completed.
- Measure and monitor overall workflows and daily metrics to assist the Operations Manager with tracking trends and reporting on site performance regularly.
- Help with training and mentoring new Associates, providing them with the knowledge needed for their tasks.
- Follow up on and resolve any process-related issues as required.
- Perform physical activities such as pushing carts with up to 100 pounds of weight and lifting packages with up to 15 kg of weight.
- Be flexible to work in different shifts and perform overtime when needed.
- Resource your function from a personal standpoint, including callouts for training needs, absence management, and productivity monitoring.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in warehouse operations
- Experience in logistics
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Experience with planning performance metrics and process improvement
Key job responsibilities- Make Shifts Plan (Receive/Dock/Stow)
- Manage Associates and work on achieving Productivity & Quality
- Implement Kaizens
- Work on making mechanisms for a good overall flow.
- 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- High school or equivalent
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Work 40 hours/week and overtime as required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
