Overview

Seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to manage a team of over 50 staff, ensuring service quality, scheduling, and staff development. The role involves operational management of vessels, safety and quality standards, developing business opportunities, and managing crew training. The position also includes logistics, facilities, and maintenance responsibilities across various processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of over 50 staff ensuring service quality, scheduling, and staff development.
• Oversee operational management of vessels, ensuring safety and quality standards while developing business opportunities and managing crew training.
• Manage logistics operations, including customs clearance and transportation, ensuring compliance and cost optimization.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in facilities, perform cleaning tasks, and ensure compliance with Information Security Regulation (as applicable).
• Conduct inspections and ensure safety of vehicles, manage fleet maintenance, and document procedures while supporting logistics operations.
• Operate and monitor power plant equipment, ensure safety, assist in maintenance, and mentor junior operators with knowledge of gas and steam turbines.
• Supervise production-related processes including cutting, deboning, packing, and coordination of production reporting; ensure food safety standards where applicable and manage staff.
• Operate and monitor machinery, perform maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain documentation while adhering to safety procedures and company regulations.
• Execute power generation and distribution tasks, conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems, and operate reverse osmosis plants where required.
• Oversee packaging and blending processes, ensuring quality and safety, while leading a team and managing inventory in a manufacturing environment (where applicable).
• Provide support to manufacturing by ensuring operational efficiency, quality control, and compliance with safety regulations while coordinating with teams and managing logistics.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Six Sigma concepts to optimize maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and overall efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in operations supervision with strong leadership and communication skills; ability to manage large teams and coordinate cross-functional activities.
• Relevant technical background (examples include chemical/plant operations, electrical or mechanical maintenance, or facility management) and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on safety, quality, and compliance.
• Ability to manage logistics, fleet, and maintenance activities, with experience in maintaining documentation and reports.
• Professional aptitude for vendor management, CRM tools, and process improvement frameworks as applicable.
• UAE driving license and readiness to work in the UAE market (if required by the role).
• Diploma or degree in a related field may be preferred depending on the specific vacancy (e.g., chemical engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering, horticulture for green space roles, etc.).
