To help us maintain our high standards of service, we are seeking an experienced and accomplished Logistics Supervisor, to drive both innovation and execution in our busy Transportation network.
Your responsibilities:
- Support the overall, daily management of operational duties, deputizing for the Operations Manager as required.
- Prioritize and continually improve safety at the delivery station.
- Supervise logistics assistants, coordinators, and delivery associates to ensure every shipment meets and exceeds operational KPIs.
- Monitor coordinator and associate performance, coaching them when needed, and partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations.
- Communicate with delivery service providers to set expectations and raise quality standards.
- Interview candidates for associate roles.
- Brief and monitor the workload of all drivers and associates, ensuring all administrative tasks are accurately completed.
- Measure and monitor overall workflows and daily metrics to assist the Operations Manager with tracking, trending, and reporting on site performance.
- Help with training and mentoring new Associates, providing them with the knowledge needed to successfully carry out their tasks.
- Follow-up on and resolve any process-related issues as required.
- Perform physical activities such as pushing carts with up to 100 pounds and lifting packages with up to 15 kg.
- Be flexible to work in different shifts and do overtime when needed.
- Resource your function from a personal standpoint, including training needs, absence and performance management, coaching, and monitoring department productivity.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in warehouse operations.
- Experience in logistics.
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
- High school or equivalent.
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement.
