Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a diversified group of companies in the Middle East. Our client is actively seeking to fill the position of Operations Manager, tasked with overseeing the execution of waste management operational activities. This role encompasses various responsibilities, including sweeping, waste collection, cleaning services, special urban cleaning interventions, and other contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee the entirety of waste management operations, ensuring the delivery of cleaning and waste collection services aligns with project requirements and client expectations.
• Supervise and manage regular reporting and internal communication to uphold service quality and foster effective stakeholder engagement.
• Cultivate a positive relationship with the client, striving for both client and public satisfaction regarding the Waste Management services provided by the company.
• Ensure strict compliance with local and federal laws, as well as adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Design efficient methods for work activities, particularly in Waste Collection functions, to enhance overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Review routes and collection processes regularly, identifying areas for improvement and incorporating necessary adjustments into daily or weekly schedules.
• Investigate delays in the execution of the operation plan and penalties, recommending corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure timely implementation of corrective actions assigned to staff from audits, incidents, and HSE reviews.
• Proactively raise resource requests (manpower, vehicles, tools, etc.) to address shortages in operational resources.
• Focus on continual optimization of service quality and the ongoing development of the operational team's skills by identifying training needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline; Engineering (Civil / Mechanical) degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in waste management projects.
• Waste management specialist with experience in managing operations under similar service contracts.
• Previous experience in delivering waste collection contracts in the GCC region is required.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic.
• International recognition of Waste Management certifications is advantageous.
• Certificate in Operations Management is a plus.
• Knowledge of waste management operations.
• Familiarity with international waste management and recycling practices and concepts.
• Understanding of Fleet Maintenance and Management.
• Planning and Budgeting knowledge.
