Job Description

The Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of logistics and transportation operations, including process optimization, fleet and equipment management, technology integration, budgeting, compliance, and risk mitigation. The role involves supervising staff, collaborating with sales and vendors, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Excellence: Redesign workflows, oversee maintenance, implement logistics software, supervise staff, conduct performance reviews, promote safety, collaborate with sales, resolve customer complaints, and negotiate vendor contracts.
2. Budgeting & Cost Control: Manage budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities.
3. Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure adherence to regulations, conduct safety audits, and implement corrective actions.

Additional Duties:

• Manage transportation, warehousing, inventory, and order fulfillment.
• Develop strategic plans to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Lead and motivate logistics teams.
• Negotiate with vendors and evaluate performance.
• Optimize supply chain processes.
• Establish and analyze KPIs for performance improvement.
• Ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and monitor logistics budgets.
• Implement process improvements and industry best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
• Experience: 5+ years in operations management within transportation/logistics, preferably with equipment rental or heavy machinery experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, experience in Oil & Gas industry is a plus.
