Job description

  • To oversee and manage the overall operations of Hospital, ensuring efficient and high-quality delivery of clinical and non-clinical services in accordance with UAE healthcare standards. The Operations Manager plays a key role in enhancing patient safety, optimizing operational workflows, and supporting strategic initiatives to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily operations of clinical, administrative, and support departments ensuring smooth coordination and service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with DHA and international accreditation standards (e.g., JCI)
  • Develop and execute operational strategies in line with hospital objectives and Dubai healthcare regulations
  • Monitor KPIs and drive initiatives to improve patient flow, staff efficiency, and service quality
  • Liaise with department heads to manage staffing, budgeting, and inventory in a cost-effective manner
  • Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and facility maintenance
  • Champion digital health tools including HIS implementation, data analytics, and patient feedback systems
  • Oversee patient experience programs and manage grievance resolution processes promptly and professionally
  • Support emergency preparedness and business continuity planning in coordination with senior leadership
  • Work closely with HR to enhance staff engagement, training, and performance management

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or related field (mandatory).
  • Master’s in Hospital Administration (MHA) or MBA in Healthcare Management (preferred)
  • 8-12 years of progressive experience in hospital operations, including leadership roles in Dubai or the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of DHA regulations, JCI standards, and healthcare quality frameworks
  • Proficiency in hospital management systems (HIS) and MS Office applications.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Finance Department in preparing annual budgets for operational departments and monitor budget adherence.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through process optimization, vendor negotiations, and efficient resource utilization.
  • Track and analyze departmental expenditures, ensuring financial targets are met without compromising service quality.
  • Review and approve departmental purchase requests, ensuring alignment with budgetary guidelines.
  • Prepare financial reports related to operational metrics, revenue-generating services, and cost-control initiatives for senior management.
  • Contribute to business planning and forecasting by providing operational insights and financial data.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to enhance the performance of revenue-generating services such as surgeries, diagnostics, and specialty clinics.
  • Analyze patient volume trends and service line performance to identify growth opportunities.
  • Support marketing and business development efforts to attract new patients and enhance hospital visibility.
  • Implement operational strategies that improve service utilization and reduce patient leakage
