An Operations Manager is responsible for the effective operational management of the hotel to ensure that Heads of Department achieve and exceed their revenue and Guest satisfaction targets.

What will I be doing?

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the effective operational management of the hotel, ensuring that departmental targets are met and exceeded. Specifically, your responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to and collaborating with the Cluster Hotel Manager to manage key property issues (including capital projects, guest service, refurbishment)
  • Assisting in developing meaningful, achievable hotel budgets and strategic goals
  • Providing effective leadership to the hotel management team and staff to meet and exceed targets
  • Responding to audits to ensure continual improvement
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating service delivery across all operational departments to meet guest expectations
  • Ensuring compliance with hotel and company Service Standards
  • Controlling costs throughout operational departments and analyzing results to identify and address issues
  • Managing and developing Heads of Department for career progression and succession planning
  • Seeking and responding to guest feedback to achieve positive outcomes and high customer satisfaction
  • Holding regular briefings and communication meetings with the HOD team

What are we looking for?

To succeed as an Operations Manager at Hilton, you should possess the following qualifications, skills, and qualities:

  • A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
  • Experience in Rooms Management, with additional experience in a commercial function or completion of the Shine 1 program
  • Experience in managing budgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting
  • In-depth knowledge of the hotel and leisure markets in the United Arab Emirates
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage teams to high performance
  • Accountability and resilience
  • Ability to work under pressure

It would be advantageous to demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • Experience in both Rooms Management and F&B Operations
  • At least 5 years of experience as a head of department in hospitality
  • Previous experience in a similar role
