The Operations Manager is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all operational aspects related to tours, safaris, guides, and transportation. This includes ensuring that all assets, from vehicles to equipment, are operationally ready, and that all team members are well-trained and efficient. The role encompasses resource allocation, scheduling, logistics, and the continuous enhancement of guest experiences while maintaining safety, compliance, and high-quality standards. The Operations Manager is also responsible for coordinating with MICE groups to ensure tailored and seamless operations for larger, customized programs. This role includes analyzing operational performance, implementing efficiency measures, and driving the development of new services or itineraries to meet evolving market demands.

Tour and Safari Management

  • Oversee the planning and execution of tours and safaris, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
  • Supervise tour guides, ensuring adherence to itineraries, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
  • Analyze guest feedback and implement operational improvements.

Guide and Transport Oversight

  • Manage scheduling and assignments for guides and transport vehicles.
  • Coordinate vehicle availability, maintenance, and driver assignments with relevant teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guide certifications.

MICE Group Management

  • Collaborate with event planners to design bespoke tour and transport solutions for MICE groups.
  • Coordinate resources to meet the specific needs of larger, time-sensitive group activities.
  • Provide on-the-ground support for MICE-related operations.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for seamless operations.
  • Prepare and report on operational KPIs to senior leadership.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Hospitality, or related field or equivalent.

Years of Experience

  • 5+ years in operational roles, preferably in tourism or hospitality.
