Job Title: Operational Manager in a property management – The Authors (Holiday Home Company)

Location: Abu Dhabi / Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Competitive salary + equity

About The Authors:

The Authors is a boutique holiday home brand redefining hospitality in the UAE. We design and manage uniquely themed apartments across Abu Dhabi and Dubai, blending storytelling, comfort, and operational excellence. As we expand, we’re looking for an Operational Manager to join our core team and help scale our vision.

Role Overview:

As our Operational Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our properties and support the implementation of new apartments. You will act as a key player in ensuring our guests experience high standards of service and design, and that all operational processes run smoothly across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily apartment operations: cleaning, maintenance, inspections, and readiness.
  • Work closely with team leaders and cleaning crews in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
  • Ensure full legal compliance of each apartment, including guest registration with authorities.
  • Coordinate new apartment onboarding with team leaders and the design team.
  • Monitor apartment quality, ensuring each unit reflects The Authors' brand standards.
  • Liaise with service providers, maintenance teams, and support vendors.
  • Report key operational metrics and support financial tracking.
  • Be hands-on in solving day-to-day operational challenges.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Highly organized with strong communication skills.
  • Problem-solver who can work under pressure and manage multiple moving parts.
  • Experience in hospitality, property management, or short-term rentals is a plus.
  • Comfortable using WhatsApp, Trello, Google Drive, and basic CRM tools.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, and detail-oriented.
  • UAE driving license is a bonus.
