Job description

Our client is a privately owned investment business based in Dubai, with a diverse portfolio of projects and businesses. As part of their rapid growth, they are currently seeking an Operations Director to work alongside the Group CEO, overseeing operations activities across business units and shared services.

The Operations Director will be responsible for developing the group’s operations strategy in collaboration with the Group CEO, facilitating its implementation across the group and subsidiaries. Guided by the company's vision and strategic goals, the role involves establishing operational controls, administrative and reporting systems, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency, financial strength, and risk mitigation. The role also includes overseeing customer-focused activities, quality assurance, Management Information Systems (MIS), and product/service management at both group and subsidiary levels.

Key Duties:
  1. Work closely with the Group CEO to develop strategic plans and achieve operational goals set by the Board of Directors.
  2. Collaborate with management to develop and implement infrastructure supporting the organization's growth objectives.
  3. Establish mechanisms to measure process effectiveness and efficiency against relevant benchmarks.
  4. Oversee capital planning and expenditures related to operations.
  5. Monitor and improve the Quality Management System, analyzing data for continuous improvement.
  6. Lead the development of Management Information Systems (MIS) to support operational needs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university (Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics); postgraduate degree preferred.
  • 10-12 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a General Management role within the GCC, including P&L responsibility.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance, Lean Six Sigma, or Quality Management.
  • Must be based in the GCC; applicants outside the GCC will not be considered.
  • Fluent in English.
