Job description

Some of the key responsibilities of this role are :

1. Identify and evaluate client’s risk areas covering all significant processes and provide comprehensive input to the development of a risk-based annual internal audit plan.
2. Supervise a team of internal audit personnel across different client engagements. Plan, organize, direct and monitor internal audit operations, including overall quality of deliverables, processes, and completion of projects within budgeted timelines. Oversee billing and collections.
3. Develop relevant audit programs & procedures including Risk & Control Matrix (RCM).
4. Manage performance of audit procedures, including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures. Demonstrate technical competence in the related domain.
5. Monitor projects to ensure delivery as per set timelines.
6. Communicate the results of assignments through written reports and oral presentations on a timely basis to client management, including presentations to the Audit committees and at Board meetings.
7. Assist engagement director with identification of new firm services at existing or new clients. Prepare and track proposals and conduct proposal meetings with clients. Responsible for developing and growing business and managing a portfolio of clients.
8. Develop strong relationships with top executives at prospects (target clients) and existing clients.
9. Ensure the firm is included in responses to key industry and solution RFPs in the region.
10. Build a strong network of contacts and leverage it for business development.
11. Develop and engage the team through individual contacts and group meetings. Assist with hiring, training, and evaluation of staff and take effective actions to address performance issues.
12. Support practice management including work-in-progress monitoring, proposal development, and performance monitoring against the business plan. Establish processes for improvement and strengthen the practice in the region.
13. Represent the firm at various industry and professional forums.
14. Conduct learning sessions and develop knowledge-sharing forums within the firm and with clients.

Desired Profile

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a top-tier college.
2. Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Strategy, Operations, Economics, Petroleum industry, or equivalent from a top-tier college.
3. 9+ years of industry experience in a related field, preferably in internal audit, consulting, advisory, professional services, and/or industry. Currently working with a leading consulting firm.
4. Bilingual Arabic-speaking resource is mandatory for this role.
5. A good mix of education and experience will be advantageous.
6. Experience in oil & gas / power / utility industry is mandatory, especially in multiple areas such as exploration & production, E&P service industry, E&P construction industry, refining & marketing, pipelines, gas, LNG, fertilizers, petrochemicals, UCG, CBM, and shale gas (non-conventional gas), etc.
