Job summary

Al‑Futtaim Retail is seeking an Operations Associate for overnight stock replenishment in Dubai. You will ensure all departments are fully stocked, accurately presented, and ready for customers before trading begins.

Overview

This role focuses on overnight merchandise replenishment, delivery receiving, inventory accuracy, stockroom organization, and store readiness. The associate ensures that Marks and Spencer departments are fully stocked, correctly presented, and ready for customers before trading begins. The position supports the overnight movement of merchandise from receiving and stockroom areas to the sales floor, maintaining product availability, accurate inventory records, organized storage areas, and consistent merchandising standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Replenish merchandise across all store departments during overnight operating hours.
  • Move products from stockroom locations to the sales floor according to approved replenishment priorities.
  • Ensure shelves, fixtures, and display areas are fully stocked before the store opens.
  • Front-face merchandise and arrange products in line with Marks and Spencer merchandising standards.
  • Prioritize promotional lines, seasonal merchandise, fast-moving products, and items with low shelf availability.
  • Complete assigned replenishment targets within agreed overnight timelines.
  • Receive and process daily deliveries accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify delivered quantities against delivery documents and inventory records.
  • Identify and report missing, incorrect, damaged, or unsuitable merchandise.
  • Transfer received products to the correct stockroom or sales floor locations.
  • Follow inventory procedures when receiving, storing, moving, and replenishing merchandise.
  • Assist with stock counts, cycle counts, inventory audits, and discrepancy investigations.
  • Use handheld inventory devices, scanners, and stock management systems accurately.
  • Execute planograms and merchandising instructions across assigned departments.
  • Confirm that product prices, shelf labels, and descriptions match displayed merchandise.
  • Prepare promotional displays, seasonal layouts, and product launches before trading begins.
  • Remove damaged, expired, discontinued, or incorrectly displayed products from the sales floor.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and commercially presented store departments.
  • Arrange stockroom locations to support quick and efficient product retrieval.
  • Store merchandise safely according to product type and handling requirements.
  • Keep aisles, access routes, receiving areas, and storage spaces clear and safe.
  • Dispose of cartons, plastic wrapping, and other packaging through approved recycling procedures.
  • Support stock loss prevention, shrinkage control, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Move merchandise using approved manual handling methods and authorized stock equipment.
  • Follow health and safety procedures when unloading, lifting, carrying, stacking, and replenishing products.
  • Support store layout changes, department resets, stock relocations, and seasonal operational projects.
  • Report stock shortages, delivery issues, damaged items, and replenishment challenges to the relevant supervisor.
  • Coordinate with store management and operations teams to complete the overnight replenishment plan.
  • Attend shift briefings and provide accurate handover information before completing duty.
  • Assist colleagues in other departments when additional operational support is required.
Ideal Profile
  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • 1-3 years of experience in retail operations, stock replenishment, warehousing, logistics, receiving, or inventory management.
  • Previous overnight retail experience in a supermarket, department store, fashion retailer, or food retail environment is preferred.
  • Practical understanding of delivery receiving, stockroom operations, shelf replenishment, and inventory procedures.
  • Knowledge of retail merchandising, product facing, planograms, pricing labels, and promotional displays.
  • Experience using handheld inventory devices, barcode scanners, or stock management systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Good attention to detail when checking quantities, product condition, labels, and storage locations.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple replenishment tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills in English.
  • Arabic communication skills are an advantage.
  • Physically capable of lifting, carrying, moving, and arranging merchandise safely.
  • Able to remain productive in a physically demanding overnight environment.
