Job description

Job Title: Operational Risk Analyst

Location: UAE

Role Purpose: This is a risk management role responsible for developing a centre of excellence for Operational Risk Management (ORM). The incumbent will work closely with the BORM to support the implementation of the ORM Framework and assist the Senior Manager Operational Risk Management in providing challenge and oversight on the framework tools. The role involves managing and maintaining the GRC system and requires a proactive, confident individual with 2-3 years' experience in risk management, banking activities, and systems management, capable of effective communication and relationship-building across the business.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Strategy, Framework, and Control Governance: Support the implementation of the ORM policy and procedures within ADIB Group. Assist business units in incident logging, root cause analysis, operational loss documentation, and risk exposure assessment. Support updates and monitoring of operational risk data, and review policy & procedure changes.
  2. Program Management: Support ORM program and tools such as RCSA, KRIs, Issues & Action Management.
  3. Training & Awareness: Develop training materials and conduct training sessions on ORM policies and tools. Provide technical GRC system training as needed.
  4. GRC System Management: Define user roles, monitor system performance, support upgrades, troubleshoot, configure frameworks, customize reports, support system integration, and manage data integrity and migration. Generate reports and dashboards, support audit requests, and liaise with IT for system enhancements.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree; Post Graduate Diploma or Master's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in risk and control within a large financial institution.
  • Knowledge of operational risk practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Understanding of banking processes, products, and Islamic banking specifics.
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • 2-3 years of industry experience preferred.
