Job summary

Hyf Medical Center in Dubai seeks an experienced scrub/ circulator nurse to provide comprehensive perioperative care. You will prepare the OR, assist surgeons, monitor patients, and ensure sterile technique while supporting dermatology and day-surgery procedures.

The role requires 5+ years of nursing, DHA license, BLS, and ideally ACLS, with a focus on premium patient care for VIP and international clients. Fluency in English and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing with valid professional qualification.
• Valid DHA Registered Nurse license and BLS certification.
• Minimum 5 years of professional nursing experience.
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience preferred.
• Experience with VIP or international patients is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, professional nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room, instruments, equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Assist surgeons during surgical and minor procedures.
• Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques throughout procedures.
• Monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after procedures.
• Support dermatology, aesthetic, regenerative medicine, and day surgery procedures.
• Assist with post-operative monitoring, discharge planning, and patient education.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, anesthetists, and nurses for quality care.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, professional, and compassionate nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, equipment, and medical supplies before procedures.
• Assist surgeons and physicians during surgical and minor surgical procedures.
• Perform Scrub Nurse and/or Circulating Nurse duties as required.
• Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques throughout surgical procedures.
• Prepare and check surgical instruments, sterile sets, consumables, and equipment.
• Assist with patient positioning, surgical site preparation, and pre-operative procedures.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical condition before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist with specimen collection, labeling, and proper handling.
• Support dermatology, aesthetic, regenerative medicine, and day surgery procedures.
• Perform IV cannulation, IV therapy, phlebotomy, medication administration, and wound care as required.
• Ensure proper counting and documentation of surgical instruments, needles, and surgical materials.
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards in accordance with DHA regulations and international clinical standards.
• Assist with post-operative monitoring, recovery, discharge preparation, and patient education.
• Respond appropriately to clinical emergencies.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and medical records.
• Work closely with physicians, surgeons, anesthetists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in quality improvement, infection control, clinical audits, and continuing professional development.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSc Nursing) or equivalent – Mandatory.
• Valid professional nursing qualification.
• Valid DHA Registered Nurse License – Mandatory.
• BLS certification – Mandatory.
• ACLS certification is an advantage.
• Additional Operating Room / Perioperative Nursing certification is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of professional nursing experience – Mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room / Operating Theatre experience – Preferred.
• Previous experience as a Scrub Nurse and/or Circulating Nurse is highly preferred.
• Experience in hospitals, day surgery centers, surgical clinics, or specialty healthcare facilities.
• Experience in dermatology, aesthetic medicine, minor surgery, laser procedures, PRP, or regenerative medicine is an advantage.
• Experience caring for VIP and international patients is highly desirable.
