Job description

• Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms and enterprise-scale virtualized infrastructure.
• Extensive experience with virtualization platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift, VMware, Hyper-V, KVM, etc.
• Expertise in installing, configuring, and managing Red Hat OpenShift in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Good understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in Linux administration, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Working experience with VMware environments including VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, HCX, etc.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud VMware Solution (OCVS) is a plus.
• Understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and extending VMware or OpenShift environments into the cloud.
• Experience with cloud migration strategies and methodologies, including VMware workloads.
• Good understanding of Cloud Infrastructure components such as compute, network, storage, and related architecture.
• Familiarity with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies.

Objectives of the Cloud Virtualization Solutions Team

What you'll do

• Be part of a team of technologists specialized in Virtualization and Cloud Infrastructure.
• Design, deploy, and optimize Virtualization & Migration Solutions to run customer workloads on VMware and Red Hat OpenShift across the OCI Distributed Cloud Portfolio.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to design scalable and efficient architectures for Red Hat OpenShift, VMware, and VDI Solutions.
• Provide deep technical expertise and support for Oracle Cloud VMware Solution, Red Hat OpenShift on OCI, Cloud Migrations, and Secure Desktops Solutions.
• Accelerate customer opportunities through technical presentations, Proof of Concept (PoC), and solution assistance.
• Research and evaluate upcoming cloud services for continuous improvement.
• Create compelling written assets, including external publications and internal documentation.
• Interact with all roles at customer sites, including CIO, CTO, IT Architects, and technical staff.
• Develop and deliver Oracle presentations and demonstrations, leading technical sales processes and advising clients on architectural solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive the adoption of Oracle Cloud’s Virtualization & Compute Services within the Cloud Virtualization Solutions team.
• Engage directly with customers to understand workload requirements and align them with Oracle cloud migration strategies.
• Design technical strategies for application migration to Red Hat OpenShift, Oracle Cloud VMware Solution, and OCI Compute.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to stay current with new solutions and features.
• Create technical assets, best practice templates, and design patterns to deliver high-quality, standards-compliant solutions.
