EN JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION PURPOSE:

  • The Digital Analytics Manager needs to have a strong understanding of tag management tools, web analytics tracking tools, and data analysis techniques. This requires hands-on experience in Google Analytics 4 and Tag Manager with JavaScript (creating events & triggers).
  • Excellent planning, organization, problem identification/resolution skills, and data analysis skills are critical for success.
  • You should also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
  • By implementing effective tag management & web analytics strategies, you can help businesses make informed decisions and achieve their digital marketing objectives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Champion the needs of the Sephora Middle East customer and local business stakeholders to ensure local requirements are prominent on the roadmap.
  • Design, develop, and support the web analytics instrumentation architecture. Own all Google Analytics and Tag Manager environment & processes.
  • Design, develop, implement, and manage tag management and web analytics strategies that align with the business goals.
  • Oversee and organize various third-party tags, manage existing pixels, implement new pixels, retrieve info about pixels, implement custom events, user management, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the tagging environment by continually monitoring tags both manually and with automated tools.
  • Develop custom analytics JavaScript to create events and triggers in Tag Manager.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and workarounds.
  • Consistently evaluate and revise the environment where necessary to improve stability, flexibility, scalability, and future-proofing, including debugging, troubleshooting, and fixing configuration issues.
  • Create, implement, and manage a tracking plan to capture customer behavior in GA4 on Web and App.
  • Perform regular audits to ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness of information regarding Tag Manager and Analytics considering internal requirements.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on web analytics data to help improve website performance and user experience.
  • Create custom reports and dashboards using web analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, Power BI, Excel, or other analytics tools using Big Query data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for optimization and growth through data-driven insights.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in web analytics and digital marketing.
  • Conversion API tracking setup for the main marketing platforms: Facebook, Snapchat, and TikTok.
  • Train and educate clients on how to use web analytics tools and interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure successful completion of projects and deliverables.
  • Project management of rollouts for new functions.
  • Development of new solutions for complex tracking and tagging requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder management.
  • Validation and recommendations of digital business requirements for several tools: Analytics, Google Tag Manager, & CMS.
  • Support Business Analysts and Digital Marketing teams with eCommerce dashboards and insights.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND PERSONALITY

  • 5 years experience in analyzing data using web analytics tools.
  • Expertise in tag management systems like Commander, ACT, GTM, etc.
  • Experience with Google Analytics (UA and GA4).
  • Advanced data querying on Big Query.
  • Expertise in data visualization & reporting on Looker Studio, Power BI, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of online marketing channels and channel attribution.
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL.
  • Understanding of A/B testing methodologies.
  • Ability to provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Experience with heat mapping tools like Content Square.
  • Knowledge of website usability testing.
