EN JOB DESCRIPTION

KEY POSITION PURPOSE:

As a regional best-in-class Omniretail luxury company, Sephora is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dcommerce IT Operations Manager to oversee the technical aspects of our Dcommerce operations. The role will operate at the intersection of ECommerce & IT. We operate in 6 countries with SFCC platform, along with OrderDynamics as an OMS and Contentful as a headless CMS, within a rich and diverse tech ecosystem that combines both best-of-breed and best-of-suit approaches. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our DCommerce platforms, managing IT infrastructure, and leading a team of IT professionals to ensure business continuity, maintain optimal performance, security, reliability, and system integrity.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Dcommerce Platform Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our Dcommerce platforms, including website & app performance, high availability, scalability, and business continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of new technical features, enhancements, and integrations aligned with business objectives.
  • Enhance existing monitoring systems and implement new features to track website & app traffic trends and build performance metrics for continuous improvement.
IT Infrastructure Management:
  • Manage and maintain all IT infrastructure components related to the Dcommerce platform, including servers, databases, networks, cloud services, storage solutions, and security systems.
  • Implement best practices for system configuration, data management, and disaster recovery.
  • Ensure scalability and performance to handle peak loads during sales events, maintaining a seamless customer experience.
  • Configure and monitor cybersecurity measures, including vulnerability management, AKAMAI security modules, WAF, SDK, Anti-DDoS, CDN, Account Protector, and Page Integrity.
Data Protection, Privacy, and Compliance:
  • Implement security measures to protect customer data, financial transactions, and sensitive information.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as GDPR, PCI DSS, and industry-specific standards.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and develop the IT team supporting the Dcommerce platform.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and continuously improving team culture.
  • Optimize team structure and workflows proactively.
Vendor Management:
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, including hosting, software, and security providers, as well as internal stakeholders from Sephora EU and LVMH.
  • Negotiate contracts, validate SLAs, and monitor vendor performance to ensure value and service quality.
Incident Management and Troubleshooting:
  • Develop incident response procedures for technical issues, outages, and security breaches.
  • Coordinate incident resolution with internal and external teams.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and post-incident reviews for continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline IT operations.
  • Define and monitor KPIs to evaluate operational effectiveness and efficiency.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Experience with ECommerce platforms, IT infrastructure (on-premises and cloud), software development, cybersecurity, payment gateways, supply chain management, UX/UI, analytics, and regulatory compliance.
