Onloan Trainer – Consecutive Interpretation

We're opening applications for Onloan Trainers — interpreters who will step off the queue temporarily to lead training sessions for new interpreter cohorts and then return to their regular interpretation duties.

What You’ll Do

As an Onloan Trainer, you will:

1. Deliver live training sessions (virtually) to cohorts of medical interpreters focused on consecutive interpretation.
2. Support onboarding, helping new hires understand company protocols, HIPAA compliance, interpreter ethics, and call-handling techniques.
3. Facilitate practical interpreting exercises and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
4. Assess interpreter performance during training and provide pass/fail recommendations with supporting notes.
5. Report training insights and recurring trainee challenges to the Training & Quality team.
6. Resume interpretation work once the training engagement ends.

Requirements

1. Minimum 2 years of professional experience in consecutive medical interpretation.
2. Proven excellence in performance metrics as an interpreter at 360 Smart Lingo.
3. Completed all mandatory internal trainings.
4. Strong communication and facilitation skills in both English and the target language.
5. Comfort using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or other remote delivery platforms.
6. Ability to commit full-time during the training engagement period (duration to be specified per batch).

Additional Notes

Onloan status is temporary and batch-based — typically lasting 2 - 3 weeks depending on the training schedule. Selection is competitive and based on past performance, availability, and trainer evaluation readiness. All materials, lesson plans, and guidelines will be provided by the Training & Quality Department. Participation will be reflected in your internal career development record and considered for future promotions.
