Job summary

Campus seeks experienced, mission-driven Paralegal Studies Instructors to deliver high-impact, online courses as part of an ABA-approved program. The role emphasizes student-centered teaching, timely feedback, and active participation in a collaborative academic environment.

You will teach 11-week live courses, mentor TAs, assess progress, and stay current with legal practice and pedagogical trends. Flexible scheduling supports remote teaching from anywhere, with a focus on student success.

Qualifications

J.D., master's degree in legal studies or equivalent professional qualifications.
Demonstrated professional legal experience (litigation, corporate, family law, etc.).
At least 2 years of teaching experience at the college/university level.
Strong communication and classroom facilitation skills.
Digital fluency with LMS, video conferencing, and AI-powered educational tools.
Ability to commit 8-10 hours per week per course.

Responsibilities

Teach 11-week live, online courses using engaging, student-centered instructional strategies.
Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes active learning and student participation.
Provide timely, constructive feedback and respond to student inquiries within 24 hours.
Host weekly office hours to deepen student understanding and build community.
Work with and mentor Teaching Assistants on grading and student engagement.
Evaluate student progress, maintain grade records, and submit evaluations.
Attend required faculty meetings and collaborate with peers on curriculum review.
Stay current on developments in legal practice, legal technology, and pedagogical trends.
