Job summary

Parsons is seeking an HSE Inspector to support utility construction activities in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role focuses on conducting inspections, ensuring contractor compliance, and maintaining proactive HSE oversight at on-site construction areas.

The successful candidate will bring a minimum of 2 years of HSE experience, NEBOSH IGC or equivalent, and strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and support incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, a technical discipline, or an HSE-related field.
• Minimum 2 years of HSE experience on construction projects.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification.
• Good knowledge of permit-to-work systems.
• Knowledge of safe work practices for confined-space, lifting, and working-at-height.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine daily and weekly HSE inspections across active construction areas.
• Record findings and recommend corrective actions for identified deficiencies.
• Monitor contractor compliance with approved method statements, risk assessments, and permits to work.
• Review implementation of traffic management arrangements around construction activities.
• Maintain a visible HSE presence at active worksites and participate in site walkthroughs and audits.
• Identify unsafe acts and conditions and follow up corrective measures.
• Liaise with project stakeholders on HSE matters.
• Provide flexible site coverage for shift, night, and weekend activities when required.
• Collect, analyze, and submit Contractor HSE information with accurate records.
