Job summary

Egis is seeking an organized Assistant Resident Engineer for our Abu Dhabi project team. You will work closely with the Resident Engineer to supervise daily construction activities, review drawings, and ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence on site.

The role offers an early-career engineer the opportunity to develop technical expertise while contributing to major infrastructure projects in a dynamic environment with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Construction Engineering or an equivalent field.
• 0-5 years of relevant site experience in infrastructure or buildings is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, quality control, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site activities and supervise construction to ensure compliance with plans.
• Conduct regular site inspections and document findings, including QA/QC and safety checks.
• Prepare daily reports, progress logs, and photographic records of site activities.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve issues on site.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies for clarity and constructability.
• Monitor safety compliance and enforce health and safety regulations on site.
• Assist in scheduling and progress tracking to identify delays or risks.
• Maintain organized records of materials, equipment, and on-site deliveries.
• Communicate progress and concerns to project stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Support QA processes and assist in resolving construction defects or non-conformances.
