Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a skilled On Load Tap Changer (OLTC) Service Technician to join their Dubai team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on OLTC units, both on-site and in-house. Your expertise in electrical or mechanical engineering will be crucial as you pre-plan service jobs, consult with customers, and conduct training sessions. Job description

For our location in Dubai, we are looking for:

On Load Tap Changer (OLTC) Service Technician (m / f / d)

What challenges can you expect?

  • You will perform repairs and maintenance work related to the designated product spectrum, both on-site and in-house.
  • You are responsible for the pre-planning of service jobs, including verification of service materials, obtaining scope of work, and all necessary information to carry out the job.
  • Creating technical service reports and forwarding them to the technical manager will be part of your responsibilities.
  • You will also consult customers and conduct training at the respective location.
  • You will assess and resolve problems related to OLTC units and assembly groups, depending on your personal qualifications.

What do we expect from you?

  • You are a skilled worker in the field of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • You have experience in the maintenance of OLTCs.
  • You enjoy practical, challenging hands-on tasks in the electrical/mechanical field.
  • Ideally, you have basic knowledge about power transformers.
  • You are flexible and willing to travel across the Middle East.
  • You possess general knowledge about local energy grid design.
  • You are business fluent in English; additional foreign languages are a plus.
