Job summary

EnerMech is seeking a qualified Rigger to support deck operations on client platforms, ensuring safety leadership and continuous development in crane, lifting and support activities. The role covers onshore and offshore lifts, signalman duties, rigging, inspection, maintenance, and reporting within complex energy projects.

Qualifications

• Be fluent in written and spoken English.
• Minimum age 21.
• Educated to higher secondary school certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years offshore experience.
• Trained and assessed every 2 years by company-approved assessor.
• ADNOC TPA Level 3 rigging competency preferred.
• ADNOC TPA Banksman/Signaler competency preferred.
• ADNOC TPA Overhead Crane Operator competency preferred.
• Understand crane capabilities and limits for offshore operations.
• Familiarize with operating procedures under supervision if offshore experience is lacking.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all lifts onshore or offshore as directed by supervisors or client personnel.
• Carry out Banking/Signalman duties as required.
• Attach/detach loads to/from crane.
• Select correct lifting arrangements and check before use.
• Check lifting equipment is in good condition and properly certified.
• Direct and move crane/load using designated signals.
• Ensure load control using tag lines and proper assistance.
• Assess weights and centers of gravity; balance loads and judge distances/heights/clearances.
• Prevent lifts with unknown weights.
• Participate in planning and risk assessments of lifting operations.
• Maintain lifting equipment in good condition.
• Perform multi-skilled platform duties including firefighting equipment operation.
• Complete reports and risk assessments.
• Assist in maintenance of lifting appliances.
• Carry out pre-use inspections and minor repairs to lifting equipment.
• Assist in inspection/recertification campaigns.
• Support maintenance technicians on routine duties.
• Read/write English fluently; trained and competent in rigging for offshore operations.
• Age minimum 21 and education as stated.
