Job Description :

The Offshore Program Director should have a minimum of 25 years of relevant experience in the offshore industry or a similar field, with construction management experience on mega projects. The role involves coordinating with other functional managers to ensure correct implementation of project construction specifications and standards. The candidate must have comprehensive knowledge of engineering design development, construction practices, economic principles, international codes, standards, procedures, and specifications. The role's overall responsibility encompasses program management, including project cost, schedule, safety, and quality management.

Role Responsibilities :
  • Ensure safe project execution
  • Deliver client satisfaction and meet contractual requirements
  • Accountable for project cost performance and accounts receivable
  • Serve as the primary contact between the client and the company
  • Ensure project execution aligns with policies, procedures, and systems
  • Manage and coordinate project leadership personnel
  • Support business development and proposals for new offshore opportunities
  • Negotiate changes with the client
  • Manage all contracts within their program of works
  • Share and implement best practices among project managers
  • Plan and revise project execution plans, ensuring adherence
  • Keep clients and the company informed of project status
  • Lead the project management team to successful project completion
  • Adhere to business ethics
  • Deliver projects according to Quality Management Systems
  • Forecast workload and ensure resource deployment, collaborating closely with the Engineering Manager
  • Resolve inter-project conflicts
  • Manage all personnel assigned to offshore contracts effectively
  • Regularly appraise direct reports
  • Maintain and promote company values

Promote capturing and implementing lessons learned on projects.

Skills & Experience :
  • Proven experience managing engineering and procurement projects
  • Strong knowledge of offshore operations, with experience in detailed design projects; greenfield and brownfield experience preferred; fabrication/construction experience beneficial
  • Solid financial and commercial project understanding
  • Approximately 25 years of relevant experience
  • Leadership capability in challenging environments
  • Decisiveness and decision-making skills
  • Strong management and administrative skills
  • Ability to establish direction, alignment, and commitment within a team
