As an Offshore HSE Advisor, you will play a critical role in promoting and ensuring a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible work environment on offshore sites. Your expertise will be crucial in developing, implementing, and monitoring Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, ensuring that all activities comply with legal and corporate standards. You will be a key figure in risk management, incident investigation, and staff training, helping to foster a culture of safety-first. The role involves liaising with various stakeholders, from on-site workers to management teams, to ensure that safety protocols are consistently followed and improved upon where necessary. Your insights and analyses will guide decision-making processes and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance in high-risk offshore environments.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures for offshore operations.
  • Monitor compliance with HSE regulations and corporate safety standards on site.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential risks and hazards.
  • Lead or assist in investigations of HSE incidents, monitoring effective closure of corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff to enhance their awareness and adherence to HSE protocols.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by leading safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Prepare detailed reports on HSE performance, incidents, and activities for senior management review.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to design safer work processes and systems.
  • Ensure emergency response plans are updated, tested, and understood by all site personnel.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advances related to offshore safety.
  • Act as a liaison between offshore site teams and corporate HSE departments, facilitating effective communication.
  • Advise senior management on all HSE issues, including legislative changes impacting operations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in offshore environments.
