Job summary

Client of Brunel in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Field Engineer to support planning, execution and management of offshore field projects. The role requires applying engineering knowledge with guidance from leadership to ensure safe and timely installation.

You will develop vessel layouts, coordinate crews and safe procedures, and prepare loadouts and installation procedures for offshore operations. Travel to offshore sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 3-5 years offshore installation experience.
• Knowledge in AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Adequate knowledge of design and offshore project execution.
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. and any 3D software experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel to different job sites and work in various environmental conditions as required.

Responsibilities

• Solve a range of straightforward field yard related issues using the company procedures.
• Understand key business drivers and apply knowledge to solve problems through analysis.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely in compliance with HSE policies.
• Readiness to travel offshore and attend onshore sites as required.
• Recommend changes in technical details and drawings for safe operations.
• Develop vessel layout and barge loadout plans for offshore transportation and installation.
• Coordinate with Marine, E&M, Welding, QA/QC, HSES, Survey, ROV, Diving, Production, Logistics and subcontractors for offshore readiness.
• Review and retain project drawings; report discrepancies and omissions.
• Prepare offshore installation procedures and loadout lists as per project requirements.
• Witness pre-rigging loadouts and coordinate cargo movements by vessel/barge/truck.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and offshore operations teams for smooth execution.
• Monitor work progress and site conditions; report impacts on schedule.
