Job summary

Duncan & Ross is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our UAE-based engineering team supporting FEED Detailed Engineering and Detailed Design phases of offshore oil and gas projects in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in offshore electrical design with Saudi Aramco project experience and strong proficiency in S3D (Smart 3D).

You will develop electrical deliverables, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with international codes

Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8-15 years of experience in electrical design for offshore oil & gas projects.
• Proven experience on Saudi Aramco offshore projects is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Smart 3D (S3D) is required; experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is a plus.
• Strong understanding of offshore electrical systems including lighting, earthing, cable tray design and hazardous area classification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop electrical design deliverables such as single line diagrams, cable routing layouts, lighting and earthing layouts, termination diagrams and installation details for offshore platforms.
• Support engineering activities across FEED, Detailed Engineering and Detailed Design.
• Generate 2D and 3D models using Smart 3D (S3D) and integrate electrical layouts with other discipline models (piping, structure, instrumentation).
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco engineering standards, international codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC) and project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with electrical engineers and other design disciplines to develop accurate and clash-free design deliverables.
• Prepare material take-offs (MTO), cable schedules and support construction and procurement documentation.
• Participate in model reviews, inter-discipline coordination meetings and design verification processes.
• Assist in resolving design-related queries from procurement, construction and offshore teams.
