Job Description

· Provide administrative and technical support regarding HSE for the rig campaign, including identifying and mitigating all risks working together with Drilling Supervisor.

· Control, monitor and improve the safety of work activities with the aim of preventing accidents.

· Implement the HSE Management System, coordinate HSE Audit and HSE campaigns including weekly and monthly safety awareness and safety drill in cooperation with Rig Contractor HSE officer.

· Efficiently contact Production HSE officer on Production Complex on any HSE issue raised.

· Document daily, monthly and post-operation HSE reports.

Represent a key role in helping control occupational risk and minimizing operational/environmental damages.

Desired Candidate Profile

Knowledge:

BSc, Engineering, Business Qualification; NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent, NORM Radiation safety officer certificate.

Experience:

  • 5 years in Drilling Operations on the rig.
  • High H2S Experience.

HSE MS compliance checks:

  • Undertake HSE Audit to ensure implementation of, and compliance with, the standards set out in the MODU HSE Bridging Document between client and Rig Contractor at on-site operations.

Inspection Reports:

  • Participates in safety inspection and hazard hunts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, and inspection of safety equipments and provide inspection reports from sites, bringing to attention matters of concern with recommendations for corrective and preventive action proactively.
  • Document non-compliant findings from inspections and track to close out.
  • Carries out investigations into the causes of HSE related incidents and prepares reports with recommendations for remedial action.
  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Promote team work and competency between contractor personnel.

Departmental Reports:

  • Prepare daily safety report to be submitted to office.
  • Assist in the generation of timely and accurate monthly “safety statistics” reports to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
  • Implement “Hazard Observation Card” by encouraging field workers to fill up regularly and forward to Drilling Team and HSE Manager.
  • Prepare the post-operation HSE report upon completion of each well program.

Safety & Housekeeping:

  • Complies with agreed occupational health, safety and environmental regulations in order to protect personnel and physical assets.
  • Address safety concerns in daily safety meeting.
  • Ensure that all RTW have been properly approved and JSA and toolbox meetings have been held prior to initiating work.
  • Complies with environmental management processes such as chemicals and waste management including NORM and pollution prevention.
  • Measure NORM on tubing recovered from well and properly secure NORM contaminated tubing in accordance with procedures.

Training and Development:

  • Provide safety training to all on-site workers, to deal with any eventualities and hazards like fire etc., to minimize personnel loss.
