Job summary

Avanta Works is seeking an experienced Oenologist/Winemaker to oversee wine production from grape to bottle at our Jabal-Ali facility in the UAE. The role requires strong oenology knowledge, team leadership, and the ability to work flexible hours during peak production periods.

Candidates should communicate effectively in English (Arabic a plus) and have a passion for winemaking with attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ownership of visa is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Malayalee culture understanding
• Excellent English communication skills
• Willingness to obtain/hold valid visa
• Strong passion for winemaking and oenology principles
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Flexible to work irregular hours during peak production periods

Responsibilities

• Oversee production of wine from grape selection to bottling
• Conduct regular quality checks at each production stage
• Collaborate with vineyard managers for optimal grape growing conditions
• Monitor inventory of wine and packaging materials
• Develop and implement new techniques to improve quality and efficiency
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends to continuously improve products
• Manage cellar workers and provide training as needed
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations
