Job Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming to promote their comfort and dignity.
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any significant changes to nursing staff.
- Help patients with mobility by providing support during walking, transferring, and repositioning in bed to prevent falls and injuries.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following hygiene protocols and properly disposing of medical waste.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately to ensure continuity of care and compliance with health regulations.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and anxiety.
- Assist in the feeding and hydration of patients, ensuring they receive proper nutrition according to their dietary needs.
- Participate in patient care team meetings, sharing insights and observations to enhance overall patient care strategies.
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies, ensuring that everything is ready for use when needed.
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations and standards, including patient confidentiality and infection control policies.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Nurse Assistant training program is preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in long-term care or rehabilitation, is highly valued.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a clinical environment enhances candidacy.
- Technical skills in operating basic medical equipment and performing routine procedures are essential for daily tasks.
- Soft skills such as empathy, patience, and strong communication abilities are crucial for patient interactions.
