We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our IWPB team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

This role is of a Business Development Officer for UAE NRI Representative Office, the candidate would be responsible for new customer acquisition through external collaboration, activity and engagement.
This is a fully self-sourcing role, as opposed to having an assigned channel or lead flow.
- Plan and/or participate, including installation of desks at third-party/industry events and corporate offices.
- Hand out pamphlets/leaflets about India services (as approved).
- Address customer queries with information available in the public domain and assist with account opening if the customer wishes to proceed.
- For enquiries received through campaigns, local marketing activities, and other initiatives, rep office staff will call on such leads to understand customer needs, address queries, and assist with account opening.
- Stay up to date on the India services available on HSBC public websites to effectively and efficiently address customer queries.
- Route any queries pertaining to products/services not listed on HSBC public website to the India HSBC team, maintaining a clear record of all such referrals as per the process.
- Assist customers with account opening, including form filling/documentation verification, etc.
- Ensure customers are assisted with activating their accounts, including digital account activation, debit card activation, and initial account funding as per bank norms.
- Service and redress customer-specific queries.
- Ensure adherence to cross-border guidelines of HSBC at all times.
- Comply with KYC/AML norms of the bank at all times.
- Maintain call reports and MIS as required.
- Respond to customer complaints in a timely manner and to customer satisfaction.
- Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years in banking sales experience or equivalent Business Development role.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Able to work independently with limited supervision and guidance.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Customer-driven with a strong focus on quality of service and business development.
- Planning and organizing, displaying a strong sense of accountability.
