NOC Engineer

Job Title: NOC Engineer

The role involves working on projects associated with wet infrastructure, including wastewater, stormwater, potable water, recycled water systems, water and wastewater treatment systems, flood management, and water resources management studies.

Stantec is looking to hire an NOC Engineer for our Dubai operations. The NOC Engineer will coordinate with all authorities on NOC applications during various design stages.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Permitting/NOCs in UAE:
   • Coordinate with local authorities and obtain all project-related NOCs and building permits.
   • Process company registrations with authorities/developers and service providers, and follow up on qualification procedures.
   • Attend kickoff and coordination meetings; support during construction NOC for site issues.
   • Review, prepare, and submit NOC applications, ensuring all authority requirements are included to reduce response time and resubmissions.
   • Manage the progress of drawings with the technical department.
   • Collect information for Design NOC and As-Built drawings; update GIS.
   • Coordinate and follow up with UAE Municipalities, DM RTA, and external stakeholders for Design NOC applications, reviewing proposals for pipelines and corridors.
   • Consult with clients and engineering teams; conduct research for project requirements.
   • Analyze survey and field data; prepare reports.
   • Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders.
2. Collaboration and Teamwork:
   • Work with peer engineers to address project design challenges.
   • Liaise with other discipline teams and remote teams to facilitate project completion.
   • Coordinate with subconsultants and subcontractors.
3. Safety and Compliance:
   • Follow safe work practices and adhere to company policies.
   • Complete work in line with Stantec’s core values, quality systems, and health & safety procedures.
   • Design for safety.
4. Client and Stakeholder Management:
   • Organize and attend meetings with clients to gather data and discuss technical solutions.
   • Attend stakeholder meetings and follow up on utility corridor NOCs.
5. Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized university.
• At least 2 years of experience in large-scale wet infrastructure projects.
• Must be a UAE National (required).
• Working knowledge of engineering software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.
