We are working with a Kuwait-based distributor and retailer specialising in high-end electronics. It sources premium products such as smartwatches, smartphones, tablets, and smart home devices from global markets and supplies them across the GCC region. In addition to its B2B wholesale operations, it owns a successful retail brand with physical stores and a strong e-commerce presence. The company targets both consumers and corporate clients including telecoms, oil firms, and private companies and partners with major retail chains, hypermarkets, and telecom operators to maintain extensive market reach and brand visibility.
We are looking for a New Market Development Manager with experience opening up new markets, with UAE experience and networks, for similar distributors. This role will lead end-to-end new market entry, from strategy, business setup, and partner sourcing to sales, marketing, and team building. It requires strong commercial, operational, and leadership skills with proven experience launching in new regions and knowledge of electronics.
Job Title: New Market Development Manager
Key Responsibilities:Market Entry Strategy: Conduct in-depth market research to evaluate opportunities, risks, competition, and customer behavior. Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market plan.Business Setup: Manage all operational steps required for market entry, including legal entity registration, licensing, and compliance with local regulations.Vendor & Partner Sourcing: Identify and onboard key suppliers, distributors, and third-party service providers (logistics, warehousing, marketing agencies).Sales & Channel Development: Establish retail, wholesale, or B2B sales channels. Set up pricing structures, sales targets, and product placement strategies.Team Recruitment & Management: Recruit and onboard local team members across sales, operations, and support functions. Provide leadership and training to ensure alignment with company standards.Marketing & Brand Activation: Coordinate with internal and external marketing teams to execute brand awareness campaigns, promotions, and product launches.Logistics & Supply Chain: Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, customs clearance, and inventory management.Reporting & Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs, generate regular market performance reports, and propose adjustments to strategy based on data insights.
