Job summary

Otis Elevator Co. is seeking a senior leader in Dubai to oversee Estimation and Engineering for New Equipment projects.

You will drive tendering, review technical submissions, and manage cross-functional teams to ensure competitive, compliant proposals that win major projects. You will mentor the Estimation and Engineering groups, coordinate with Sales, Operations, and external partners, and guide strategic decisions that improve profitability and project wins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or related).
• Master’s degree is an advantage.
• 10+ years in elevator, construction, or engineering industries.
• 5+ years in a leadership role within Estimation and Engineering.
• Experience in tendering, technical reviews, and contract evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of quotations, tenders, and cost estimates.
• Ensure competitive pricing, accurate costing, and risk assessment.
• Support Sales with technical and commercial proposals.

Role Overview:

Lead and manage the Estimation and Engineering functions to ensure accurate, competitive, and technically compliant proposals while supporting business growth, profitability, and successful project awards and wins. The role is responsible for overseeing tendering activities, engineering deliverables, technical risk management, and continuous process improvement across New Equipment projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimation & Tendering

• Lead the preparation and review of quotations, tenders, and cost estimates.
• Ensure competitive pricing, accurate costing, and risk assessment.
• Support Sales with technical and commercial proposals.
• Drive tender quality, consistency, and process improvement.

Engineering Management

• Manage engineering activities from tender stage through project execution.

Team Leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• Master’s Degree is an advantage.
• 10+ years of experience in the elevator, construction, or engineering industry.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within Estimation and Engineering.
• Experience in tendering, technical reviews, and contract evaluation.
