Job summary

VINCI Energies Oil & Gas is seeking a Network & System Security Engineer to secure and maintain IT and OT network infrastructure for a key client in the UAE. You will manage firewalls, VPNs, and security platforms, perform hardening, and coordinate with IT and security teams to ensure continuous operations.

The role requires 2–5 years in network security, a relevant degree, and hands-on experience with Fortinet or Palo Alto.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in network security or cybersecurity operations.
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, network engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience configuring enterprise firewalls, VPNs and network security solutions (Fortinet or Palo Alto preferred).
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, segmentation and access control.
• Windows/Linux security administration, Active Directory and endpoint security.
• Familiarity with security monitoring, vulnerability management and incident response.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST CSF or IEC 62443; OT/ICS or Oil & Gas experience is a plus.
• Certifications such as CCNA, Fortinet FCP, Palo Alto PCNSA or CompTIA Security+ advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer and maintain network security solutions (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC).
• Implement network segmentation, firewall rules and secure remote connectivity across IT/OT.
• Perform security hardening of Windows/Linux servers and network devices.
• Monitor security alerts, investigate events and support incident response.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, coordinate patching and remediation.
• Review security changes, troubleshoot issues and ensure operational continuity.
• Coordinate with IT, cybersecurity teams and vendors to resolve issues.
• Maintain documentation, diagrams, configurations and incident reports.
