Job summary

Linked4HR is seeking a Network Security Engineer for an urgent 6-month contract in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role requires hands-on firewall, SIEM, and cloud security experience and immediate joining availability.

Responsibilities include monitoring security infrastructure, incident response, vulnerability management, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Cybersecurity is required along with certified security credentials.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of network security experience.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls including Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA or equivalent.
• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Rapid7, LogRhythm, QRadar or equivalent.
• Experience with IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, NAC and EDR.
• Vulnerability management experience using Rapid7/Nessus.
• Experience with cloud security (Azure, AWS, Oracle).
• Strong incident response and network traffic analysis experience.
• DNS, email and web security knowledge.
• SOC monitoring experience and security incident documentation.
• Must have completed CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (or CEH/PCNSE/etc).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network security infrastructure (firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, EDR).
• Analyse traffic, logs and alerts to identify threats and incidents.
• Configure and manage NGFWs (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
• Support firewall rules, access controls and NAC.
• Respond to security incidents and document investigations.
• Support vulnerability scanning and remediation tracking.
• Monitor security across Azure, AWS and Oracle Cloud environments.
• Oversee DNS, email and web security monitoring and DDoS protection.
• Perform patching and maintenance on security systems.
• Maintain security documentation and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with Network Operations, IT, Incident Response and vendors.
• Support SOC with security monitoring and incident response.
• Contribute to ISO 27001, ICAO, EASA, GCAA compliance.

We are hiring a Network Security Engineer for an urgent 6-month contract opportunity with a leading organization in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Contract: 6 Months

Joining: ASAP (Immediate Joiners Only)

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network security infrastructure, including firewalls, SIEM, IPS/IDS, WAF, DLP and endpoint security solutions
• Analyse network traffic, security logs and alerts to identify threats, anomalies and potential security incidents
• Configure, troubleshoot and maintain Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA and Fortinet
• Support firewall rules, access controls and Network Access Control (NAC)
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, including investigation, escalation and documentation
• Support vulnerability scanning, assessment, remediation tracking and reporting
• Monitor security across Azure, AWS and Oracle Cloud environments
• Support DNS, email, web and DDoS security monitoring and threat mitigation
• Perform security system updates, patching and maintenance
• Maintain security documentation, incident records, configurations and compliance reports
• Collaborate with Network Operations, IT, Incident Response teams and external security vendors
• Support compliance with GCAA, EASA, ICAO and ISO 2701 requirements

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of network security experience
• Hands-on experience with firewalls — Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA or equivalent
• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Rapid7, LogRhythm, QRadar or equivalent
• Experience with IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, NAC and EDR
• Vulnerability management experience using tools such as Rapid7/Nessus
• Experience with Azure, AWS or Oracle Cloud security
• Strong incident response and network traffic analysis experience
• Knowledge of DNS, email and web security
• Experience with security monitoring/SOC environments
• MUST HAVE a completed CompTIA Security+ or equivalent recognized cybersecurity/network security certification
• Accepted equivalent certifications include CEH, CCNA Security, Fortinet NSE 4, Palo Alto PCNSE or equivalent
• Certifications in progress will NOT be considered
• Aviation industry experience is an advantage
• Scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Bash or Python

Education

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security or a related discipline.

Ideal Candidate

Hands-on network security professionals with 3+ years of relevant experience, mandatory completed security certification, and strong experience in firewalls, SIEM, vulnerability management, security monitoring and incident response.
