Job summary

Linked4HR Human Resources Consultancies LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Network Security Engineer for an urgent 6-month contract. You will monitor and secure our organization's network infrastructure across NGFW, SIEM, WAF and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of network security experience, hands-on firewall expertise (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA), and a current CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification. This is an ASAP joining with on-site Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of network security experience.
• Must have completed CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (CEH, CCNA Security, Fortinet NSE 4, Palo Alto PCNSE accepted).
• Certifications in progress will NOT be considered.
• Experience with cloud security in Azure, AWS or Oracle Cloud.
• Knowledge of DNS, email and web security; strong incident response experience.
• Familiarity with security monitoring/SOC environments and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network security infrastructure (firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP and endpoint security).
• Analyse network traffic and security logs to identify threats and incidents.
• Configure and troubleshoot NGFWs such as Palo Alto, Fortinet and Cisco ASA.
• Support firewall rules, access controls and NAC.
• Respond to security incidents and document investigations.
• Oversee vulnerability scanning, remediation tracking and reporting.
• Monitor security across Azure, AWS and Oracle Cloud environments.
• Support DNS, email, web security and DDoS monitoring.
• Maintain security documentation, incident records and compliance reports.
• Collaborate with Network Operations, IT, Incident Response teams and external vendors.

Job description

We are hiring a Network Security Engineer for an urgent 6-month contract opportunity with a leading organization in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Contract: 6 Months

Joining: ASAP (Immediate Joiners Only)

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network security infrastructure, including firewalls, SIEM, IPS/IDS, WAF, DLP and endpoint security solutions
• Analyse network traffic, security logs and alerts to identify threats, anomalies and potential security incidents
• Configure, troubleshoot and maintain Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) such as Palo Alto, Cisco ASA and Fortinet
• Support firewall rules, access controls and Network Access Control (NAC)
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, including investigation, escalation and documentation
• Support vulnerability scanning, assessment, remediation tracking and reporting
• Monitor security across Azure, AWS and Oracle Cloud environments
• Support DNS, email, web and DDoS security monitoring and threat mitigation
• Perform security system updates, patching and maintenance
• Maintain security documentation, incident records, configurations and compliance reports
• Collaborate with Network Operations, IT, Incident Response teams and external security vendors
• Support compliance with GCAA, EASA, ICAO and ISO 27001 requirements

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of network security experience
• Hands-on experience with firewalls — Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA or equivalent
• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Rapid7, LogRhythm, QRadar or equivalent
• Experience with IDS/IPS, WAF, DLP, NAC and EDR
• Vulnerability management experience using tools such as Rapid7/Nessus
• Experience with Azure, AWS or Oracle Cloud security
• Strong incident response and network traffic analysis experience
• Knowledge of DNS, email and web security
• Experience with security monitoring/SOC environments
• MUST HAVE a completed CompTIA Security+ or equivalent recognized cybersecurity/network security certification
• Accepted equivalent certifications include CEH, CCNA Security, Fortinet NSE 4, Palo Alto PCNSE or equivalent
• Certifications in progress will NOT be considered
• Aviation industry experience is an advantage
• Scripting knowledge in PowerShell, Bash or Python

Education

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Security or a related discipline.

Ideal Candidate

Hands-on network security professionals with 3+ years of relevant experience, mandatory completed security certification, and strong experience in firewalls, SIEM, vulnerability management, security monitoring and incident response.
