Job summary

Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi seeks a Regulatory Oversight Lead to coordinate approvals for foreign aircraft operations across the fleet, ensuring compliance with aviation authorities and safe, on-time operations. You will manage liaison with regulators, track FAOP/FAOC/DG/LVO applications, review standards, and support new aircraft introductions and ad-hoc events while maintaining data accuracy.

• 5+ years experience in airline industry expected.
• Project management experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate regulatory liaison with local and international authorities for FAOP/FAOC/DG/LVO initial applications and renewals.
• Review international regulator standards to ensure compliance across operations.
• Review approvals for ACMI operations and liaise with lessors for documentation.
• Maintain permissions database ensuring aircraft are approved to fly to destinations with operational flexibility.
• Support charter flying review process and coordinate contracted charters for safety and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate ad-hoc aircraft operations events (flypasts, displays).
• Coordinate EIS program alongside technical plans for new aircraft and support station startups.

Synopsis

To provide regulatory oversight and coordination for foreign aircraft operating approvals across the Etihad Airways fleet, ensuring compliance with applicable aviation authority requirements. The role supports operational continuity by enabling charter operations, adhoc operational aircraft projects and new aircraft introductions through timely project management, while ensuring no adverse impact on safety or scheduled operations.

Accountabilities

• Ensure effective regulatory liaison with local and international regulatory authorities on all issues pertaining to FAOP/FAOC/DG/LVO initial applications and renewals
• Continuously review international regulator standards and requirement to ensure compliance
• Review all required approvals for ACMI operations ensuring to closely work with lessor to provide required documentation to obtain local and foreign regulator approvals
• Ensuring the permissions database is maintained at all times with correct data leading to all aircraft being approved /authorised to fly their destinations with full operational flexibility
• Support charter flying review process and coordinate contracted charter flying ensuring safety and customer satisfaction
• Coordinate all ad-hoc aircraft operational events such as flypasts, aircraft static displays etc
• Coordinate EIS program in parallel to technical department plan for newly delivered aircraft and ensure smooth delivery to operational window
• Support Manager Operations Planning in readiness coordination of new station startups or where required

• Bachelors degree in Aviation management, minimum 5 years experience in airline industry
