Job description

• Oversee the Network and Security Infrastructure in the Datacenters.
• Oversee the Managed Service Contracts of Networks and Security Infrastructure.
• Manage the Annual Maintenance Contract and Software Support subscription and contracts related to IT Infrastructure and ensure all of them are under valid support contract.
• Manage the implementation of technical projects by directing and coordinating activities to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Manage Etisalat Services (WAN, Internet, PRI) and coordinate with Etisalat Managed Services and Technical Support teams regarding related issues. Manage the Etisalat services payments.
• Prepare the Annual Procurement Plan (APP) for all infrastructure-related projects, license subscriptions, and maintenance contracts and coordinate with procurement to complete the APP.
• Prepare the RFP documents for IT Infrastructure related projects and coordinate the procurement process with the procurement department.
• Maintain accurate documentation for Network and Security Infrastructure.
• Manage the department's budget, track expenditure, and ensure they are within the limits of the budget.
• Raise the PR for all Infrastructure related projects and contracts.

Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in network engineering roles, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex network solutions.
• Expert-level knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs, and SD-WAN.
• Extensive hands-on experience with network routing, switching, and Wireless LAN from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, HPE / Aruba.
• Extensive hands-on experience with network security infrastructure from vendors such as PaloAlto firewalls, FortiGate firewalls, Infoblox DNS / DHCP, Cisco FirePower IPS.
• Extensive hands-on experience with F5 LTM ASM and APM configuration and management.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts and technologies, with experience deploying and managing networks in public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and drive resolution.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Relevant Certification from Cisco, PaloAlto, FortiGate, Infoblox, F5.

Desired candidate profile

Networking Protocols and Technologies :

Proficiency in networking protocols such as TCP / IP , DNS , DHCP , BGP , OSPF , and HTTP / HTTPS .

• Knowledge of WAN and LAN technologies, VLANs , VPNs , NAT , and QoS .

Network Hardware and Devices :

Experience configuring and managing routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, load balancers, and other network appliances.

• Familiarity with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS , Juniper Junos , and Arista EOS .

Network Security :

In-depth knowledge of network security practices and technologies, including firewalls , IDS / IPS , VPNs , DDoS mitigation , and SSL / TLS encryption .

• Familiarity with network security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001 , PCI-DSS ).

Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting :

Expertise with network monitoring tools like Wireshark , Nagios , SolarWinds , and PRTG .

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, performance, and security issues quickly and effectively.

Understanding of cloud-based networking and services (e.g., AWS VPC , Azure Virtual Network , Google Cloud VPC ).

• Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments and the ability to integrate on-premises and cloud network infrastructure.

Project Management :

Strong project management skills to lead network-related initiatives, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.

• Ability to manage timelines, resources, and budgets for network projects.

Team Leadership and Collaboration :

Experience leading and mentoring network teams, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring optimal performance.

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and business stakeholders.

Documentation and Reporting :

Strong organizational skills to document network configurations, policies, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Ability to create detailed network reports for management, including performance metrics, usage statistics, and security assessments.
