Network Engineer - NOC

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, SD-WAN, etc.)
2. Configure and install firewalls, routers, switches, and other network devices
3. Monitor network performance and integrity using tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Nagios
4. Troubleshoot network issues and outages, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime
5. Collaborate with network architects on network optimization and expansion
6. Maintain security and privacy of networks and computer systems
7. Provide Level 3 support and escalation for network-related issues
8. Document network configurations, topology maps, and standard operating procedures
9. Evaluate and recommend new hardware and software technologies
10. Manage vendors and service providers, ensuring SLAs are met
11. Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical leadership
12. Participate in on-call rotation and incident response as needed

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2. 5+ years of experience in network engineering roles
3. Strong knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, etc.)
4. Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent enterprise-grade networking equipment
5. Solid understanding of firewalls, VPN, and security best practices
6. Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments
7. Proficiency in network monitoring and performance tools
8. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
9. Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent
