Aventus Global is actively seeking an experienced, client-facing Network Architect specializing in firewall assessment and optimization to join our client operations in the UAE on a 6-month onsite contract basis. In this critical cybersecurity and infrastructure role, you will be responsible for leading firewall discovery, rule-base analysis, consolidation planning, and safe decommissioning across complex IT, data center (DC), and cloud environments. Detailed Job Description

As a Network Architect at Aventus Global, you will take full technical ownership of enterprise firewall assessment, policy optimization, and migration governance across diverse client infrastructures in the UAE. Your day-to-day responsibilities include performing comprehensive inventory discovery, analyzing complex firewall rule-bases, evaluating high-availability (HA) setups, and establishing micro-segmentation and trust boundaries across IT, OT, and cloud ecosystems. You will identify redundant, shadowed, and unused firewall objects, design consolidation and decommissioning plans, and oversee change, testing, and rollback governance during critical production maintenance windows. Furthermore, you will produce high-quality architecture models, reduction registers, and execution frameworks while engaging senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of 8 to 10+ years of professional experience in network architecture, enterprise cybersecurity, and firewall management.
• Proven hands-on experience in network architecture spanning IT, data center (DC), and cloud infrastructures.
• Comprehensive expertise in firewall assessment, inventory discovery, rule-base analysis, network segmentation, and HA reviews.
• Deep technical proficiency across major enterprise firewall platforms including Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, and Check Point.
• Demonstrated experience in rule hygiene, identifying shadowed/redundant rules, and executing firewall consolidation and decommissioning.
• Strong governance experience in change management, testing protocols, production maintenance windows, and back-out planning.
• Exceptional client-facing communication, stakeholder alignment, and technical documentation writing capabilities.
• Mandatory eligibility to work onsite in the UAE (regional candidates preferred).

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Native Arabic speaker fluency for regional enterprise client engagement.
• Prior working experience within Oil & Gas, energy, or Operational Technology (OT) industrial environments.
• Hands-on experience with policy-as-code frameworks, network automation, and Python/Ansible scripting.
• Professional vendor certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Security Expert (PCNSE), Fortinet NSE 7/8, or CCIE Security.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, NESA) and audit remediation.
