ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for a .NET Back End Developer to build the reliable services, serverless logic, APIs, and integration endpoints behind Enterprise AI platform. You will develop secure steering and telemetry APIs, durable workflows, integration services, and governed MCP endpoints that expose enterprise data and tools safely to agents and user‑facing applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build ASP.NET Core services and Azure Functions using modern C#/.NET, including APIs for steering, telemetry, audit, tool execution, and agent runtime support.
• Implement secure APIs behind Entra and API Management, including pause/resume/kill/override/redirect controls and other operational commands required by the ACC.
• Develop durable orchestrations for long‑running agent loops, serverless workflows, retries, idempotency, circuit‑breakers, and reliable data access patterns.
• Design and build integration services and MCP servers that expose entity data and tools safely to agents through governed endpoints.
• Implement OAuth/OIDC, on‑behalf‑of flows, scoped credentials, short‑lived tokens, least‑privilege access, and secure tool argument schemas.
• Integrate with legacy and modern enterprise systems using APIs, Logic Apps, webMethods, .NET/TypeScript/Python SDKs, and event/integration patterns where appropriate.
• Emit audit logs, application telemetry, trace IDs, and operational metrics for every meaningful system and agent action.
• Work closely with AI engineers, cloud DevOps, data developers, front‑end engineers, governance, and delivery teams to move services from sandbox to production.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Strong hands‑on C# and .NET 8/9 experience, including ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, Azure Functions isolated worker, and secure API design.
• Experience with distributed systems patterns, async programming, retries, idempotency, circuit‑breakers, background jobs, durable workflows, and operational reliability.
• Experience with Azure API Management, Microsoft Entra, OAuth/OIDC, MSAL, managed identities, Key Vault, and role‑based access control.
• Practical experience with data access using EF Core and at least one of Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, Redis, or comparable data stores.
• API and integration engineering experience, including enterprise integration patterns, API contracts, versioning, contract testing, and secure connectivity.
• Understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) or willingness to build MCP endpoints using .NET/TypeScript/Python SDKs as governed integration contracts for agents.
• Strong testing, debugging, performance tuning, logging, and CI/CD collaboration habits.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Semantic Kernel for .NET, Dapr, gRPC, durable agent‑loop hosting, or high‑reliability service design experience.
• Experience with Azure API Center, Logic Apps, webMethods, event‑driven integration, iPaaS, or complex enterprise integration environments.
• Experience building services that support AI agents, tool calling, HITL workflows, audit‑ledger operation, or observability‑heavy platforms.
• Familiarity with sovereign cloud, government, regulated environments, security reviews, data residency, and least‑privilege design.
• Experience collaborating directly with external entity IT teams, security reviewers, or platform governance stakeholders.

• Steering and telemetry APIs are live, secured, and audited behind Entra and API Management.
• Durable agent‑loop hosting and integration plumbing are in place with idempotent, observable behaviour.
• First governed MCP endpoints are live behind the gateway with least‑privilege scopes and reusable connector patterns.

This role is not. A pure AI prompt or agent‑reasoning role. This role builds the secure back‑end and integration plumbing that agents and front‑end experiences depend on.
