Qualifications

• Performs professional duties of a neonatologist
• Responsible for assessment and reassessment of patients
• Conducts daily rounds to patients in the NICU and Nursery; performs examinations and other procedures covering the full scope of neonatology
• Orders laboratory, radiological examinations, determines diagnosis, prescribes medications, advice nursing and dietary care as necessary and applies such preventive measures as required
• Provides in-patient care to the newborn and attends difficult delivery or cesarean section deliveries
• Offers consultation/referral services to the in-patient services in his area of expertise
• Works with patients throughout the entire process starting from consultation to treatment plan
• Serves as an expert in neonatology providing consultative services to other Medical Services
• Provides on-call emergency coverage for neonatal emergencies as per duty roster
