Job summary

NMC GROUP SERVICES. in Abu Dhabi is seeking a consultant neonatologist to provide comprehensive clinical services to newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and nursery. The role entails daily rounds, order tests, diagnose, prescribe medications, and coordinate care with teams across the hospital.

Responsibilities include maintaining high standards of governance, patient records, and involvement in training and quality improvement, with on-call emergency coverage as required.

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years’ post qualification experience at Specialist level.
• At least 1 year Specialist level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by UAE regulator.
• Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification recognised by UAE authorities.
• Certification and registration in a recognised neonatology specialty.
• Active and valid life support certification (BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP).
• Eligibility for UAE registration or recognised equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical services to patients in an ethical, professional manner.
• Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
• Perform daily rounds in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Nursery; order tests, diagnose, and prescribe care.
• Offer consultation and on-call coverage for neonatal emergencies as required.
• Contribute to governance, quality management, training, and interdepartmental liaison.
• Adhere to OSH, PCI policies, infection prevention, and documentation standards.
