Job summary

An engineering firm is looking for an experienced NDE Engineer to oversee compliance and quality assurance for Oil and Gas projects in Iraq. The candidate should possess at least 15 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree, and expertise in AUT qualifications for pipelines. Key responsibilities include managing project documents, ensuring adherence to codes and standards, and collaborating with multicultural teams for effective project execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years in Oil and Gas projects.
• 10 years of experience in AUT and NDE for pipeline installation.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with H3SE rules and best engineering practices.
• Manage deliverables and documentation during engineering, procurement, and construction.
• Liaise with Contractors and Suppliers for discipline compliance.

Skills

Knowledge of pipeline design codes

ISO 9712 Level III AUT

Strong communication skills

Education

Job description

We are looking for an NDE Engineer for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: UAE with Mission to Iraq

Start Date: Sep 2025

Contract Duration: 24 months, extendable

Work Scheme: Residential

Professional Experience (years):

• Minimum 15 years in Oil and Gas projects.
• Previous experience of managing Contractor's AUT qualifications for onshore pipelines.

Experience in similar position (years):

• 10 years of experience, with significant experience in AUT and NDE applied to pipeline installation projects.
• Experience in leading AUT qualification/validation activity.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of design and construction code for pipeline (DNVGL-ST-F101, API 1104), pressure vessels (ASME BPVC).
• ISO 9712 (or recognized equivalent) Level III AUT (PAUT/TOFD) and minimum LII RT
• ISO 9712 (or equivalent) minimum LII PT, LII MPI, Radiographic Interpretation, Senior Inspector

Level / Diploma:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (material, mechanical engineering or related field).

Languages

• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

Main Missions

• To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to H3SE rules and requirements and for ensuring their implementation within his/her scope of responsibility.
• The service holder ensures during Detailed Engineering, Procurement and Construction phases that all activities, deliverables and documents (internal and external) related to the disciplines he/she is in charge are timely issued, executed and fit for purpose.
• The service holder ensures Contractor, Subcontractors and Suppliers' deliverables and documents are compliant with applicable codes, standards, Project specifications and best engineering practices related to his/her disciplines.
• Within NWP Package, the service holder is the Contractor's focal point for all matters related to the disciplines and subjects he/she is in charge of.
• The service holder participates in the follow-up and supervision of qualification, audits, testing, fabrication and construction activities, at Contractor, Subcontractors and Suppliers workshops or worksites, related to his/her discipline, directly and/or with the support of the surveillance and site QC team.
• The service holder will participate in the review and resolution of any discipline-related Technical Query, Deviation Requests and NCR occurring during Detail Engineering and execution phases.
• The service holder will actively identify the main risks and opportunities related to the disciplines he/she is in charge of and contribute to their follow-up in line with Project objectives.
• The service holder actively liaises with other specialists of the NWP Package in order to ensure consistency of the works, in particular with the NWP Welding Engineer.
• The service holder also liaises with Company HQ discipline specialist as necessary.
