National Early Career and Emiratization Partner | Corporate Services

Overview of the role

To lead the group hiring efforts for interns, graduates and strategic programs and to position Al Futtaim as an employer of choice amongst our target talent groups. To partner closely with HR and business stakeholders as well as schools, colleges and universities to enable the introduction of early talent, equipped with the future skills required to drive Al Futtaim forward. To champion efforts and actions towards our nationalization ambitions. To ensure all recruitment and hires made within the relevant division are recruited fairly and that the hiring process is conducted in a timely manner while adhering to the Al-Futtaim Group recruitment policy.

What you will do

  1. Lead the Recruitment Process for Interns, Graduates, and Strategic Programs and Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process for early talent, including internships, graduate programs, and strategic initiatives.
  2. Develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies to attract and hire top-tier candidates from universities, colleges, and other educational institutions.
  3. Manage relationships with key educational institutions and strategic partners to ensure access to a diverse pool of high-potential candidates.
  4. Build and enhance Al Futtaim’s employer brand to attract top talent from various target talent groups.
  5. Implement marketing strategies, including events, workshops, and employer branding campaigns, to position Al Futtaim as an employer of choice within the region.
  6. Participate in career fairs, networking events, and university recruitment drives to increase the company’s visibility and appeal to potential candidates. Be a strong external ambassador for Al Futtaim.
  7. Collaborate closely with HR teams, hiring managers, and business leaders to understand recruitment needs and align hiring strategies with business goals.
  8. Provide guidance and consultation to business leaders on talent acquisition strategies and best practices.
  9. Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between business units and HR teams to optimize the recruitment process.
  10. Develop recruitment strategies that align with future skill requirements to ensure new hires are equipped to drive Al Futtaim’s future success.
  11. Work with business leaders to identify key competencies and skills needed to support the organization’s strategic goals and growth plans.
  12. Partner with talent organization to identify and promote the hiring and development of future skills.
  13. Take an active role in driving nationalization and localization efforts within Al Futtaim, ensuring recruitment aligns with local workforce development objectives.
  14. Engage with local talent pools and government initiatives to support nationalization goals and enhance diversity within the workforce.
  15. Monitor and report on progress toward nationalization targets, implementing corrective actions as necessary to meet these objectives.
  16. Support the recruitment process and ensure all candidates are evaluated fairly, consistently, and without bias, in line with Al Futtaim’s values and policies. Introduce structured assessment frameworks.
  17. Ensure compliance with all relevant recruitment laws, policies, and best practices. Monitor recruitment timelines and ensure positions are filled promptly to meet business needs while maintaining a high standard of candidate quality.
  18. Champion diversity and inclusion efforts in recruitment by ensuring diverse talent pools are considered for all roles.
  19. Create campaigns that attract underrepresented groups and promote an inclusive work environment within the company.
  20. Regularly assess the effectiveness of diversity recruitment strategies and adjust as necessary to meet organizational diversity goals.
  21. Effectively manage the pool of Emirati talent, ensuring that there is a strong pipeline to meet the demands of the business.
  22. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for recruitment, such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality of hire, to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
  23. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management regarding recruitment progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  24. Use data to make informed decisions and optimize recruitment processes continuously.
  25. Regularly assess and improve recruitment strategies and processes based on feedback, performance data, and market trends.
  26. Stay informed about industry trends, recruitment technologies, and best practices to ensure Al Futtaim’s recruitment efforts remain competitive and innovative.
  27. Foster a culture of continuous improvement in talent acquisition, encouraging feedback from stakeholders and new hires to optimize the recruitment experience.

Required Skills to be successful

  1. Strong communication, presentation and reporting skills.
  2. Previous experience working with an ATS preferred (Success Factors).
  3. Good knowledge of local country labor laws and regulations is an advantage.
  4. Experience conducting large scale candidate assessment centers would be preferred.

What equips you for the role

  1. Bachelor’s degree within any professional field relevant to the business area or within HR would be preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience within HR with significant exposure to talent management and talent acquisition.
  3. Experience of managing university relations and internship/graduate hiring and graduate programs.
  4. Experience of working with government partners and government programs for hiring local talent.
  5. Experience of executing strategies for hiring UAE and KSA nationals.
  6. Experience of working within a large matrix organisation would be an advantage.
  7. Experienced working with high volume or niche roles.
