ROLE EXPECTATIONS:

  • Convert business through proposal negotiation and contracts to meet revenue targets.
  • Engage with clients to understand needs, maintain records, and develop sales opportunities.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries for group business via phone/email.
  • Maintain accurate customer and event records in Opera, gather feedback, and suggest improvements.
  • Propose positive alternatives through cross-referrals, ensuring bookings meet hotel standards.
  • Monitor industry developments and implement best practices to improve sales performance.
  • Follow up with clients for repeat bookings and support colleagues in sales skills development.
  • Accurately maintain account profiles in Opera and produce contracts, proposals, and booking documentation.
  • Develop strong knowledge of cluster conference and events offerings and strategies.
  • Utilize selling skills to secure comprehensive meeting bookings efficiently.
  • Be proficient in meeting room setups, A/V, and support services.
  • Understand the features and benefits of all hotels in the cluster and legal contract management.
  • Maximize revenue through up-selling F&B and other event options, aligned with revenue management strategies.
  • Achieve team and individual goals, utilizing systems like Opera, Microsoft Office, and Marriott Global Source.
  • Communicate the company's vision enthusiastically, focusing on exceeding customer expectations.
  • Build productive internal and external relationships and manage resources effectively to deliver project plans.
