Job summary

EDGE in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to independently program and operate CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines using Mastercam 2022 and PowerMill Ultimate. You will interpret engineering drawings, select tooling and strategies, and optimize processes to deliver high-precision components.

The role requires strong English communication, mentoring abilities, and hands-on experience with multi-axis CNC machines.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or CNC Machining.
Experience with multi-axis CNC machines, mill-turn centers.
Familiarity with prototyping or low-volume production workflows.
Must possess strong English language and written communication skills.
Good troubleshooting, communication, and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

Independently program, set up, operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis).
Interpret complex engineering drawings and convert them into CNC programs using Mastercam 2022 and PowerMill Ultimate.
Select tools, fixtures, and machining strategies for precision components.
Optimize machining parameters to improve efficiency, tool life, and part quality.
Perform first-piece inspection and troubleshoot machining issues.
Train and guide junior technicians on machine operation and safety practices.
Maintain CNC equipment and workstations.
